Łodygowice

Łodygowice is a picturesque village situated in Silesia voivodship in Zywiec district just at the foot of Beskidy mountains. Area of Lodygowice is 17,8 km² and it is about 370 m above sea level. The population of the council in 2009 was just below 7000 inhabitants.

Lodygowice is located in Zywiec Valley, from the east it is surrounded by Beskid Maly mountain massif with oustanding summits: Magurka (909 m above sea level) i Czupel (933 m above sea level). From the west the village borders on Beskid Slaski mountains with the highest summit - Skrzyczne (1257 m above sea level). From the south it borders on the city Zywiec and out of the city appear beautiful Beskid Zywiecki mountains, from the south-east Lodygowice is surrounded by Zywieckie Lake. The village is crossed by rivers Zylica, Kalonka and Zarnowka and other picturesque streams.
